Ingredients

  • 300g flour 
  • 2 packets of baking powder 
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar 
  • 1 pinch of salt 
  • 150mL milk 
  • 70g butter 
  • egg + milk for browning 

    Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. 
    2. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add the butter cut into pieces. Mix with your fingertips. 
    3. Add the milk. Mix again with your fingers. 
    4. If the dough sticks a little, add flour. 
    5. Roll out the dough to about 3cm. Using a 5cm cutter, cut out your scones. 
    6. Place the scones on a baking tray. 
    7. Brush with egg yolk and a little milk. 
    8. Bake for 15 minutes.
