  • 2 apples
  • 1 rectangular puff pastry
  • 1tsp of light brown sugar
  • 1Ttsp of cinnamon
  • a little milk

Stage 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C, gas mark 4).

Stage 2

Core the apples using an apple corer, leaving a hole in the centre. Slice the apples into rings.

Stage 3

Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into strips.

Stage 4

Wrap each apple ring with a strip of pastry and place them on a baking tray.

Stage 5

Brush the pastry with a little milk. Mix the light brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over the apple donuts.

Stage 6

Bake for 25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
